Well...over the fall I have plans to change a few things on my car. It will be the exhaust system and a nitrous kit. My car currently runs pretty well with what its has and has gone a best of 11.89 at 115. This is with Summit 1 5/8" headers and a 2.5" mandrel x pipe with 40 series delta flow mufflers. I just purchased a new X pipe that is mandrel bent 3" with some 3" Hooker Aerochamber mufflers. I know my current 1 5/8 are working well but are probably right at there limit....

Now the nitrous kit I was lookiing at is the Nitrous Express Hitman Plus. Its a plate kit thats good for 50-200HP. I plan on spraying between a 100-150 shot. At this point how much will the 1 5/8" headers be holding the car back??? I figure with the bottle on the motor will probably be making around 600HP. I was looking at two different headers. The first one is the Dynatech 1 5/8-1 3/4 stepped and the other is the Doug's D368's....1 3/4". Im sure either would work fine.

What are yours guys thought on this???

Thanks!

E-mail tony@airflowresearch.com and see what he says about your header size.
He'll probably know the port size too ;)

Mike....I e mailed Tony prior to this post and he said he liked the 1 3/4" header(over the current 1 5/8") for my combo. I was just curious what others thought about this issue. He felt the 1 3/4" would perform slightly better N/A and quite a bit better on the bottle.
