Just saw and add in the new Super Chevy for the new Brodix "Race Rite" oval port Bog block Chevy heads. If you believe the add this head has the potential to be a great head

.200 160 / 112.7
.300 224.3 / 146.5
.400 280 / 178.7
.500 320.7 / 202.8
.600 339.6 / 222.2

Nickel: I hate when I miss spell stuff in a post. I tried to go back in a fix it but for some reason the web site would not let me back in

EDIT: I probably didn't miss the cc info, but I did miss the same question in CDN SS' post!

You can order them with either 115 or 119cc's
They can be ordered bare or complete
email me with how many sets you would like :D

Mike .... Thanks for that CC info ......hmmmmmm 115 chambers, my 427 .060 motor being set up for 10.2 cr with 115cc big valve 781's right now , may just come back to you for price on bare set ... just trying to decide how much more power do I really need
Image
anyone want to offer opinion where I will see an increase in power with these heads over 781's with UD solid roller 250/260 @.050 630 lift 110cl

Thanks Bill

Gene , yes good point, especially since chances of getting good pump gas keeps going down.
I did not go with all the other aftermarket heads with raised exhaust ports because of the hassle with header clearance .but these sure do look interesting ..... but do I really need them? or do I just want them
Image
so trying to put a value on the extra investment

Virgim , gotta have those :D maybe we can get a volume discount if we both buy a set, you know from the profit were making on the market these days

these heads can be ordered with as small as 104 cc chambers :D

$2000 a pair assembled +$240 for angle machining the decks

does anybody know how honest brodix flow numbers are????

ahh even if they flow 320,thats still a nice piece!!!!!!

My 781's flow an honest ton, roughly 312 at .650, but it cost way to much to do that, unless you can port yourself. My 427, 60 over cranked out 634 hp at 7100, and 530 torque at 5400 rpm, with bent pushrods, and some of you have heard that story.

ej, thats my concern spending too much on 781's ..so far just big valves installed and cleaned up with a bit of bowl blending etc ... no problem to get out with my investment right now and if I get the weight saving and some perf increase it might be good value in the long run so looking at it seriously.

Brodix are historically conservitive on their flow #'s I know of a few guys that had their heads flowed after they ran them for a while and the Brodix heads flowed more than advertised after a few hundred miles

Flowed a few Brodix's & they are not inflated numbers.
Very close on my bench but a bit conservative compared to some of the benches out there. Kinda like dyno numbers :D
Just did a set of 200cc Race Rites w/ the cnc chamber & they were within a few cfm of the sheet they sent me on the same heads.
Also a set of the Track 1 227cc's with the M2 porting, same deal. They advertise 302@ .500 & 314@ .700 & I got 297 & 311.
The numbers will vary on different benches just like everyone elses but when you see someone post numbers that are way out there a little common sense should prevail. :D
My opinion but I feel AFR & Brodix to name a couple post very honest numbers.

CDN
The bare heads are about $1700 from Brodix for the 119cc's. I believe they charge for milling the bare ones to 115 but not sure.
email me if you are interested & I will see what I can do.

has anybody found any new info on these heads???

i remember reading an article were lingenfelter ued the first brodix ovals "oefi" or something

a 93 octane 502 produced 620 hp with out of the box versions of these heads, and the ports were smaller than the new ones.

those stock location exhaust ports are something iv'e been praying for since the day i had to "adjust" my headers to fit, back in '97.

Just rec'd my set of the new Brodix Ovals ... went for the fully assembled as they come port matched and also added the optional 115cc CNC chambers ...impressed with quality of casting, and parts used also how clean the casting is look very nice compared to the BBC "E" heads a friend just got .......and of course the exhaust ports in stock location
Image

Bought them from fellow TC'r Mike Lewis aka "Wolplace" excellent price and service ....Thanks Mike

These seem like a really good thing!!!

I would love to hear some numbers on these heads. I recently worked a set of 781 heads over with the intent of flipping the hardware to a set of alluminum heads. I Like the oval ports for the STREET/strip application. I was looking at the AFR 290's and love the look of their flow #'s. What will the elevated exhaust ports on the AFR's do to me with regards to install (Hooker Comp's). Obviously the Brodix heads are an easy install!

Great info, thanx!
