I've been converting my 68 to power steering and I guess unchartered ground as all the nuts, bolts, splines and brackets have been a mare to undo. First problem was the steering gearbox, the three bolts through the chassis holding it on were tight as tight could be but all seemed OK except the lower bolt came out 3/4 inch long but as I was taking everything steering related off I had the chance to wiggle the S/Box to release the sheared stud still on the box. Things going well some parts fitted but still waiting for some other parts still, because I live in the UK taking parts bought in error back to the shop is out of the question so I get what I think is correct and then move on and order the next parts. As I'm sure you know and do ... when under the car you see all sorts of things and areas that need attention, while I'm here I'll renew the sway bar bushes I've had them for a while so now is a good time to do em. I attached a pic of the box sheared stud and the two bolts holding the bushes on the sway bar.
Well its been quite a learning curve seeing things that really should have fallen off the car, having said all that I wouldn't have it any other its been great to get amongst my car
