When disassembling the engine to get ready to pull the motor we took pics of everything. Well, few days ago while in the process of putting the engine together getting prepared for installatino into the car we noticed that this piece wasn't lining up according to the pics. This is where you guys come in. If you guys can provide any side pics of the factory carb or any info on this piece it would be much appriciated.

When we took it apart this is the way it was installed, with the pin opposite of the notch on the return spring housing.

Now, we got to lookin on assembly and it just didn't look right. this is how it looks to go. Notice the notch on that side. In the original pic the pin is opposite the notch.
