DEFINITELY NOT REPLACING THE CHEVELLE. I have acquired the '63 Chevy Fleetside (short bed) Pick-up that my, then 17 yrs old, parents had when I was born (will look for pic). It is intended for my daughter when she turns 16 next October. While it's probably not too far from actually being streetable, in a 45 year old truck sorta way, I'll have my work cut out for me to make it "presentable".

Any recommendations of a forum similar to TC.

around here, the early 60's chevy trucks are one of the few affordable classics, i tried to buy one last week, i was so busy that i told the owner i'd give hime an extra $200 to delv. i'm only an hour from the guy, but he declined. anyway, it had new paint, and the bed restored and i could have got it for 2k, i was just to busy to get down there.

i'm looking for another. anyway, i think the parts have become easier to find, and they make great little rides. the only problem around here, is finding one that isn't rusted out, it seems the cabs are prone to rust in the hardest to fix areas. i'm sure your daughter will love it. for some reason most of the trucks around here are driven by young girls, seems the smaller the girl, the bigger her truck....
