Does anyone know if there are many places out there that rebuild master cylinders and how much this service might cost? Or would it be more economical to just hold on to my original and buy a replacement? I want to keep my car #'s matching and as original as possible but $ is a concern right now as the motor is being rebuilt. I can always rebuild the original at a later date if I hang on to it. Any experiences with rebuilds and how much does it cost?

Thanks guys.

You may also be able to buy new a new one from Bendix. If the one on the car is the original, definatly save it and have it rebuilt later. I have had several done and they work fine..I think it was about 100 bucks or so.New Cad top, painted, new bleeders etc...ALbert

Thanks Chris and Al. I'll try a rebuilt one from the local auto parts store and save the original for later. I'm sending the booster, bracket and master cylinder lid to Steve Gregori at Brakeboosters in California to be replated and have the booster rebuilt. I need to check around to see if anyone rebuilds master cylinders locally.

Thanks Again

When your ready to get the original master rebuilt, give Ron a call.He is a friend of Steves. He rebuilt my master. It turned out great! He resleaved it w/304 stainless and I also had him powder coat it. Karps power brake service 909-985-0800 He also rebuilds prop. valves if you need that done as well. Thanks Steve and Brian.

Steve, I clicked on that website and filled out an "estimate form" where they will email me a price to rebuild my master and the shipping to return it. Virginia is a little closer than California! Thanks a lot.

Brian,
Do you remember how much you paid Ron to rebuild yours?

Thanks
