Ok, currently have a TH350 tranny. The engine is a late model 1986-94 383 with a 1 piece rear main seal. The engine requires a late model 1986-94 350ci weighted flywheel. Here is the engine that I have- http://www.blueprintengines.com/index.php/gm-383-bp3830ct1

I am going to install a Muncie M-20 but want to confirm the following parts I have will work:

"621" 11" Bellhousing- This will bolt up to my late model 86-94 Gen 1 Block Correct?

This Hays Flywheel - http://www.summitracing.com/parts/hay-10-630

Now here is were I get a little confused when searching for a clutch kit. When on Summit what search options do I select so I can narrow down the correct clutch kit? I can't do it by my car because it has a late model 1986-94 engine. Should I just use Chevroet, V8, 5.7L 350, 10 Spline input Shaft, 11" Clutch....? I was leaning towards this clutch kit but want to make sure it will work with my application:

Lastly what would a good pilot bearing and throw out bearing be, thinking of using the following:

Roller Pilot-

This is the only Throw Out bearing I could find on Summit-

I have searched the forum but have not cme up with any help yet. Thanks for any and all help you can offer

How much power with the 383? IMO, stick cars at 400 HP or more need a blowproof bell.

I would look at a pilot bushing as well (instead of a roller bearing) especially if you skip the indexing of the bell, which I assume is a strong possibility if sticking with the stock aluminum bell.

Interesting question. I just purchased a flywheel for a 74 Camaro 350 4v, 168 tooth, to go in my repro (Ground Up) bellhousing.

First clutch kit I got had alignment pins on the pressure plate and the flywheel has no holes for them. So back it went.

Going to try the matching clutch kit/pressure plate for the 74 Camaro.

In the Autozone site, there is some comonality between the 74 Camaro and a 66 Chevelle 327 standard shift. I happened to think the 74 would work better at the zone

From this weeks experience, yes, the appropriate clutch kit with the correct clutch shaft size and spline count should work. Just make sure you get the clutch size/pressure plate the flywheel is drilled for, 11 in or 10.5. (?)

However, riddle me this, my Dorman clutch pivot ball is listed as having metric threads and to fit Chevy from 53 to 90?

I finally remembered to call the shop that made my driveshaft, and they had no trouble setting me up!

Love hot rodding!
