Interesting question. I just purchased a flywheel for a 74 Camaro 350 4v, 168 tooth, to go in my repro (Ground Up) bellhousing.

First clutch kit I got had alignment pins on the pressure plate and the flywheel has no holes for them. So back it went.

Going to try the matching clutch kit/pressure plate for the 74 Camaro.

In the Autozone site, there is some comonality between the 74 Camaro and a 66 Chevelle 327 standard shift. I happened to think the 74 would work better at the zone

From this weeks experience, yes, the appropriate clutch kit with the correct clutch shaft size and spline count should work. Just make sure you get the clutch size/pressure plate the flywheel is drilled for, 11 in or 10.5. (?)

However, riddle me this, my Dorman clutch pivot ball is listed as having metric threads and to fit Chevy from 53 to 90?

I finally remembered to call the shop that made my driveshaft, and they had no trouble setting me up!

Love hot rodding!
