My car runs right at 190 and doesn’t have any problem unless I am stuck in traffic on a very hot day and rather than take a chance of getting caught in that situation again and wishing I had done something about it - I am going to install an aux fan for my radiator now.

I have a Flex-a-Lite aux fan and rather than drill holes all over the radiator mounting cross brace I thought I would just mount it against the radiator as they recommend with the push through goodies that they furnish with the fan.

Has anyone had a problem mounting the fan with these push through things ? Will it wear through the aluminum tubes in time ?

Thanks !

Tom

I mounted 2 14" perma-cool fans on my car like this. I used the big zip tie looking things that stick through the radiator, they have a square foot under the heads with a piece of foam on them. I have a stock type radiator, not an aluminum one. I have had no problems at all, and the fans have been there several years.

I hope this helps!
