I just installed my megashifter in my 70 elco and from where i mounted it to the trans is like 2 feet at max i have a standard 5ft cable i looped it once to make it work but at this point my shifter feels really hard to pull into reverse and to ratchet. Is this because of the looped cable? Or are there some lube points on the shifter i can make sure are good?

Ok next question if anyone is still reading this post. I am hoping to install my new motor and trans (700r4) and the shifter didnt ratchet all the way to a 4th gear. I downloaded the instructions from B&M but didnt see if i need to remove a piece or add a piece to make it work with my new trans....
