I'm still in school here in California. Otherwise it would be good times. Do you want to hire a 24 year old with an A.S. in Engineering Design?

Well now I feel obliged to respond....

I'd be perfectly happy with 50k, but in somewhere such as California I would expect (or hope) that the starting pay would be higher. Seems like it would be tough to afford even a small apartment out there with much less

I just wanted to throw out that $50k would be nice but I am making $30k right now as a drafter while going to school trying to get my B.S. before I'm 30. And Even in the L.A. area 30k is enough for me to live comfortably but I don't live near the beach in the O.C. or anything. I rent a house with three of my friends.
