Use one the pro used BUT - watch out for Comp. Their "standard" HR cams come ready to handle a whopping 350 psi springs. It wont rev well at all. You'll need to go billet core and put 450+ on the springs to rev. Here is one of Mike's builds - let a pro order your cam kit, or at least advise on part # so you dont waste your time and money. 396 dont mind 7000 rpm once in a while, BUT your valvetrain has to handle it. REad the thread, Mike felt the cam was a tad big at 242@.50 on the intake.
