I lurked for years off and on.

I'm really not a talkative person, believe it or not.

Some people are also just shy, the TC family seems pretty familiar with each other, its always hard being the new guy...

Anyways, yes, I did lots of reading over the years. The reason I actually first signed up was NOT to take part in Bench but because there were quite a few members with tech questions that I felt I could help with, in a few cases, I knew the answer and no one else had gotten to it yet!

Finally there was one case where someone was really frustrated with a transmission problem that was driving him nuts, and it was the exact problem I struggled with for months before research and persistance finally paid off. I felt obligated to help him, but it meant signing up, so I did.

Once that happened, well, the floodgates were open, and now you can't shut me up...

I also lurk on a lot of other sites that I'm not active in. The internet is full of great info, a lot of them are on these kinds of sites, but you can't join them all. It also takes some time to determine if the site is worthy of my time (no offence).

If you had to be a member straight off the bat most guys won't bother creating a login, profile, etc, probably me included. It's like a courtship!
