Right now there are 48 members here and 703 non members lurking.
I'm not sure exactly why, but this really bothers me. Are there really 703 non members perusing this site? Seems to me the ratio is like this all the time. Who are these people? What are they up to?
Generally speaking........I guess I just don't like people who lurk in the shadows. They don't come forward and expose themselves. They hide in the shadows and they usually don't speak. They are a form of stalkers. Something about it just doesn't set right with me. Does anyone else get this uneasy feeling?
In this case, (TC) you don't know who they are. You don't know what they are up to. Are they really interested in Chevelles, or are they looking for their next potential theft or scam ???
Oh occasionally we get 1 or 2 who finally decide to chime in and say hello and I love that. But why not more. This site is free for those who want it to be. And with the wealth of information, it's surely worth the $20 membership fee.
I think if these 703 people who are perusing the site are genuinely interested in Chevelles it would be really neat if they would come forward and share their story. It's always neat to hear about another Chevelle with a strange power train combination or color combination. Or cars that have been in the family since new and now rarely see the light of day. The stories are usually great.
Why is the ratio of lurkers to members so far apart?
Al, is there any way to know where these lurkers are? What country? Anything?
Nate
