Low Vent Output

Over the past several years I have noticed that when I select the vent, the output is lacking. When I select either the air conditioning or the heater the output is ok. Is this a common problem with the early 70's Chevelles or do I need to repair/lubricate/replace something?

Ok, um, how involved is it to check the vacuum stuff?
