well the wife just got a new honda accord, so she gave me her caprice x cop car. i figured i would drive it while i redo my 71 covertible. i already have a low milage 95 LT1 with wiring harness and brain. i figured i might as wel go with the overdrive trans while i am at it. i know i need to rework the harness and brain, but does anyone know where i can get reall descript directions to this conversion. wether its on the internet or in books... i would like to plan this out well befor gutting the rag top. thanks

steve, what year and model is your motor? can i use the headers that are on my stock 350 now in my chevelle?
this is a big project to bite off when i already have so much else going on. i really want to plan it all thru well before i get tearing things apart. i nned the trans still, how do i do the floor shifter? i guess i will loose my factory horseshoe shifter? i would love to not have to change my exhaust. i would pay for a step by step instuction booklet. i will probably write my own if it all works. call it "LT1 conversion for idiots!" i will be doing lots of reading i see.
