You'll have to spend a lot of money on a good convertor that will hold the lock-up function at WOT. That will get you a few more hp while racing. Otherwise, a decent convertor with the stall you like will be fine as long as you don't lock it up at WOT. Just use the lock-up for gas mileage while cruising. So a lock-up will be fine for just hwy and cruising.
