Hey guys, i get a rattle from my windows on my 70 velle 2 door. The windows mounts on a piece that runs up and down the main shaft in the window. The hole where the window mount goes on the shaft is pretty large and i think that is where it is rattling. Is there suppose to be some type of bushing or insulation in there? Thanks guys.

Your discription is lacking.

The window has a pice of metal bolted on to it at the bottom. This piece of metal has a circular center with a plstic (white) bushings inside of it. There is a metal shaft (taht is part of the door frame) that the afformentioned bushings slides on.

these do wear out, and the shaft does require greasing every few years.

There is a also a metal "tab" with a felt covering that guides the window as is comes down into the door. This too should prevent ratteling when the window it down.

hope that helps. sorry no pictures.

Mike, sorry about the description, but you got it. The first part you mentioned a white bushing. That is the part that i need. Does OPG or Year One make these, or is it junk yard time? Thanks

I had an issue with these. My window track broke, the entire bolt/bushing piece shattered and my window came crashing down. simple fix? go to a hardware store and get some hard nylon tubing just big enough to go over the bolt. It works fine, just cut it to the proper length.
