Getting ready to install a full trunk floor and inner wheel houses in my 67.
The body is on a rotisserie and I am hoping to get some advice on the best we to do this. My thought was to test fit the new floor to frame and once I am confident about the fit, begin installing the floor to the body.-- I would be using the measurements between the frame mount points to keep the correct alignment between the body-new trunk floor-and frame. Will this approach work? Also I need to move the rotisserie mounting point from the rear most body mounts to some other point on the rear of the body to make room to install the complete trunk floor. I was thinking of making some mounting brackets that would mount the rotisserie to the holes in the rear tail panel where the tail lights mount.--Any thoughts about this idea?

I recommend you put the body back on the frame to install your trunk and wheelhouses. Too much opportunity for things to flex, especially since the trunk floor has the rear mounts needed to attach to the rotisserie.

You'll get a much better fit if you install all new body bushings and use the frame to align your new parts. You can loosen body mount bolts and slide the one piece trunk pan up between the frame and body. That's how I did mine, and it turned out good. New trunk drop-offs are also in order.

So---put it back on the frame long enough set the position and do enough welds to hold that position then go back to the rotisserie for most of the welding, seam sealing, painting and so forth?

No, do ALL the metal work on the frame. You need to rebuild the door hinges, hang the doors, set them to the old quarters, then start cutting. Put the rest of the panels on with screws, fully assemble the car to set gaps, etc. When happy, weld it all together, then blow it back apart and put it on the rotisserie to finish up anything you can't reach.
