Hey folks! My '68 El Camino got the big Christmas present this year in the form of a reman 454 to replace the tired 307. I wanted to keep the factory look (stealth 396?) so I went with the short water pump...I need the lower power steering bracket -- it's about a foot long with two pass-through holes in it. The one I got was supposedly for 66-68, but only works on older chevelles with the steering box in the back of the cross member. I called several outlets, OPG, NPD, Year1, all no longer carry it. My question to you all is,

Where can I get one of these?

My big Christmas present this year for my '68 Chevelle 396 (short water pump)was a 454 with a long water pump. That means I don't need the lower power steering bracket anymore. It's in very good shape. If you're interested, give me an email and we'll work out a good price for both of us. Danchuk also carries it. Part #5691. About $70. Download their PDF catalog. They have a nice power steering schematic.
