I plan to install a CPP hydro boost, they recommend a master cylinder w 1 1/8 bore. I called Willwood for the MC and was also going to install a Willwood clutch- brake assembly. Wilwood says that their pedals will not work w hydro boost.

1) Has anyone heard of this issue?

2) What clutch / brake component will work?

Thanks

Do yourself a favor and get a Astro van hydroboost from Rock Auto. I paired mine with a C3 master cylinder it’s a 1 1/8 bore. I believe
CPP does make a nice aluminum mount for the HB unit I did use that.
I used factory pedals.

1. That is correct. Their pedals are not designed to work with an OEM GM vacuum booster or hydroboost unit.

2. Use the original clutch/brake pedal assembly from your vehicle along with the hydroboost unit referenced above.

Hydroboost can be used with factory pedals with just a bit of fab work.

FWIW I used a booster from an 06 Tahoe and master from 07 trail blazer. Or the other way around. Can’t remember. And a bracket from a guy on eBay. Works great.

Agree. This is exactly what i did after the “kit” i purchased on ebay was sent to me with a bad hydroboost, and the seller stopped talking to me. This was in my ‘55, but i imagine the mechanics are basically the same.
Hydroboost is such a great upgrade. That car stops crazy good.
