Had my car on the dyno the other night and made about 10 hard pulls. The next night I got a bad ticking sound. A friend found it was one of the rockers had backed off a bit. He tightend it back on but were not sure how tight it needs to go.

Not sure how to go about it but I would like to check all of them to make sure there where their supposed to be.

This is a BBC with Crane Energizer 1.7 roller rockers.

Thanks in advance...

Can we assume it is a hydraulic cam? Or, is it a solid, and what are the clearance specs?

Either way, if you're using rollers, once you're NEAR the desired lash, tighten the set screw and then come to final lash by tightening the nut. It'll set hard that way and should not back off. ( a new solid cam may require a few adjsutments over time to finally take a permanent "set").

That last tightening is somewhere arond .001-.0015" by my experience.
