How do you identify a 70 big block core support vs. a small block or 6cyl core support?

I usually look at the part number.
Look around ,it there.

Thanks Mike. It also sounds like you can identify them based on a "tab" or the "number of holes" on the core support? Any knowledge of these identifiers?

4 bolts on the top plate - larger opening cut out for intake air flow as opposed to 3 bolt top plate and smaller opening cut out for air intake.

It's very easy to enlarge air intake opening tho, cut on pressed line.

Also, A 70 B.B.-VO-1 core support has a welded tab on the bottom L.S. to accept a four row Rad.
