My computer will not boot up, and continually restarts. It goes from having a screen where I can choose to start in "Safe Mode","Last known Good configuration", etc and a countdown timer... If I choose any option or just let the timer go down, it goes to another screen, but cycles back to the intial screen...
I think it might be this W32.IRCbot.worm thats going around...
I can hit "del" and get into setup, but I don't know what to do there...
I bought a computer a few months ago, and there were problems with the WinXP, so they re-imaged and installed Win2K instead, and forgot to reinstall the McAfee software...
The guy that build the system is busy, and so he will drop the McAfee disc at my house, and says its easy to install (he wrote me an email, so I could ask him how do I install a program if I can't boot up?) . I did ask him about it in the same email that he replied to...
I am really getting rustrated, especially because this is a guy at my work (but temporarily transferred to another site 25 miles away)... I figured he'd give me a better deal, and personal service... And while he was loading a few nice programs on the computer, I am thinking windows might be pirated... I have no idea though...
