How do I post a youtube vid in thread

Nope guess I need some help here

put a vid on youtube for the first time and would like to post it in a thread

see what I mean the vid is posted as a site and not the vid screen

Under the video, there is a button called "Share".

Click it.

Where it says...

Paste this link into an email or instant message:

Copy the next part, and paste it into a post.

yea dean hhmmmm , i tryed one in the performance from my daughters computer and it worked , now it won't work...

I am going to reboot my comp and try again

Right on Thank you Jake and Dean , I just tried and posted the last two vids in the performance section and it worked flawlessly....

wow I learned to post pics in threads instead of thumbs and how to use an ipod , put the vid on you tube and now here...

guess you can teach and old cat new tricks:thumbsup:

The address bar was showing the "url" or "webpage" for your youtube channel, not that specific video. Only the "url" for the video itself will embed the video in your post.

Look.....

The part in bold is what tells your internet program to go to your "channel". This is the 'url' for the video only.

I put a space in there so that you can see the code for the video without embedding the video.

Make sense?

The best way to get only the code for the video itself is with the share button.
