I don't know what they are called, but the inner part of my 68 tail light extensions are no longer shiny. I can buy the complete extension but they are pricey and there is nothing wrong with the originals. I can not find just the inner part for sale anywhere.

Can I paint them silver? Wrap them in tinfoil? What is the solution here? Thanks.

Dull white or silver paint will do.

They are just painted silver from the factory.

You could do what my buddy did, he used that sheet metal tape that's shiny aluminum and sticky on the back. Did his Camaro lights with the stuff and turned out great.

That's a great idea! I will try painting it first, if that doesn't work or wears off, then I'll try the tape. Thanks

Rustoleum BRIGHT ALUMINUM does the job nicely. Alex

White is more reflective I tried silver tape in a 39 ford tail light on my motorcycle and gloss white paint worked better.
