You cannot really tell by the casting number as GM used the same castings for multiple years. However...if you look at the block, there will be a number stamped on the drivers side, right in front of the cylinder head, on the deck surface. This letter/number combination can tell you exactly what vehicle the block was originally installed in. The last part of the engine number should match the last part of your cars serial number if it is the original engine.
By the way, my AERA casting book shows that as a 1962-67 327 small journal block.
