High Revs = Dead Alternator!! Anyone else have this problem?

The rotating part of the alternator is called the rotor. It is wound very tightly with a varnish like coated wire. My guess is that when you rev up the engine it is turning so fast that the wires are moveing from inertia and shorting against something inside causing a diode to short out. Cheap reman.
