pictures and dimensions would be great i have the assembly manual for this car and it shows the gaps at the pocket at the front of the fender to be 1 inch out from the pocket and 3 quarters of an inch up at the top but can anybody tell me how much of the front grill area is shown in the middle at the top of the bumper an how far up off the top of the grille area will this dimension be

It will vary from bumper to bumper. Some of the aftermarket ones fit so bad its whatever gaps make it look the best.

my big concern is how much of the area in the center at the grille body color should you see. how far up off the painted surface would that be. does anyone have a picture of there front end for some reason i cant find any 1972 chevelles in my area to take a look at and this is a critical area with the painted surface underneath protection is critical. thank you for your help
