I have been taking the afternoon off from work today and braiding my hoses with stainless steel conduit covering. I removed the heater hoses (one from the manifold and one from the water pump) and cant remember which one goes where. I have a 71 Chevelle with a 350. Where does the bottom heater hose go? Does it go to the manifold or the water pump?

I cant drive my car until I figure it out. I dont have a service manual or I would have looked there.

Any help would be appreciated.

Hey kev, upper hose from the heater core goes to the water pump, and lower hose goes to the manifold. If it matters, the upper hose is also on top in the clamp on the fender. Post a pic when your done. Daren :thumbsup:

The small (5/8 inch) hose goes to the manifold and the large (3/4 inch) goes to the pump inlet.
