Does anyone have a picture of their firewall with their heater core cover removed on a 68 or 69 Chevelle or El Camino on a non AC car ? I need to see how much of an opening there is cut out in the firewall. Or a diagram showing this opening in an assembly manual ? I converted an AC car to a Non-AC car by removing the original AC/heater box (from inside the car) and when I bought the car someone had allready robbed the AC compressor, dryer and outer cover so I just converted it to Non-AC. I cut out a plate and welded it to the firewall drilled holes out in firewall for heater core tubes and also for heater mounting and heater core outside cover. I had a heater from another Chevelle and bolted and wired it up. I turn on the heater or defroster and the blower motor runs but no air is running through the heater box. I think there is supposed to be a opening or cut out at the firewall maybe in front of the heater core ?? Does anyone have a pic. or diagram on this pleeeeeeeeaaaasssssssseeeee ?? Your help would be very much appreciated, Thank You, Mark ----------------------------------------------------------------------------1968 Chevelle Malibu (Weekend Cruiser)------------------------------1968 El Camino (Daily Driver)
