There is a rectangular hole in the firewall. I have to leave for work now but will try to get you a picture or some measurements tonight.

There are two holes in the firewall, a round one under the fender that brings air into the blower and a rectangular one that allows air to exit the blower box. here's the round hole

I'm assuming that the circular hole is the same for the non-air and A/C cars. The rectangular hole is approx. 6" high with the top dimension 11 1/2" and the lower dimension 12 1/2 (the right side is perpendicular to the top and bottom, the left side is slanted). The upper right corner is 7" below the top of the cowl. Hope this helps.
