[65 SS]

I live at So. Lake Tahoe CA. I need to get my 327 rebuilt and the heads done too. I could go as far as the Sacramento area. I could also go to Reno, Nevada.
The engine is a very good condition 40 over rebuild already. However that was 20 years ago. Very low miles, 20k max. I am doing a 65SS frame off and want to go thru this while it's out.
Anyone have a reference please?

my cousin owns a shop in newark, fremont area depends on how far you want to drive or what you want to do. the machine shop is daves engine macining, he also owns mopar engines west same shop. hope this helps

Hey Ron, try Goodies Speed Shop in San Jose, Ca. I know it's farther but well worth it. The guys are pretty cool. Call them and ask for Paul. He's the engine builder/tuner and runs the dyno. Just my thoughts. They tuned my 396 and it hasn't missed once since January. Let me know who you go with for future refernce too.

Sorry, I haven't used any local shops with good results...

A few months ago, I was in Costco parking lot (Folsom), and I saw a pickup with signs for Mike Lewis's shop... I think it was a lady driving though... Wonder if he comes this way sometimes? deliveries, etc? I'd call and ask...

I have no idea of the quality or cost, or if they do "stock" rebuilds (are you going for stock?)... These places have been around for a while though...
