Starting to gather parts for my 1966 SB to BB swap and wondering which headers will fit with the least modifications. Hooker 2455 or Hedman 68190. Anybody have any experience with either of these or recommendations of other brands?

The hooker's hang too low and you will flatten them. It would be a wise investment to contact Lemon's Header's and pay the money for a good set and be happy you did.

As mentioned avoid the Hookers. One of the mistakes I made with this car is buying them, scrape city.

I had a set of Heman 66002(?) and they fit great, never touched the ground.

Thanks for all the replies. On the Hooker ground clearance issue are your cars lowered? Mine has stock spindles with 255/60R15 front & 275/R rear tires and 10" of ground clearance at the frame just behind the front tires so it sits very high(old school). What about clearance at the transmission c/memb. Any problems there?

Jon,
You want feedback from 66/67 users only. Different issues with different brands in 68-72.

I did this swap 2 yrs ago, went with Headmans, as recc by most on this board at that time with 66/67 BB's. I had clearance issues with the lower A arm mounting cup (both Sides), and had to trim some of the cup away. Also was tight to plug #3, much more than any other plug.

Otherwise the fit was good, not to low at all.

I have heard that Dougs headers fit great on 66-67.

I totally agree. LEMONS best header out there.
