I just recieved my new 2" ceramic coated Hooker competition headers for my 1969 chevelle big block. The passenger side went in no problem. The drivers side I unhooked the motor mount and jacked it up, still wouldn't fit. I unhooked the motor mount and steering shaft and it now fits in but it looks like I need to ding in one of the pipes. I am not sure what it is but there is part of the frame that sticks out on the drivers side and the pipes are hitting it.
What do I need to do? Do I gently ding it with a rubber hammer? Don't want to ruin a $400 set of headers.
