OK guys, my new to me 71 had a push button starter switch hogged into the dash...just want to get this started and found dangling purple wire and missing two wires from nuetral safety switch (two open spades). Here is what I suspicion ( haven't got my service manual with diagrams yet but on order), the PO had an ignition switch issue or neutral saftey switch issue and by-passed the NSS and ignition to get by. As I recall and that was many moons ago, the purple wire ran from the ingnition switch to the neutral saftey switch and on to the starter solenoid....correct? any help would be appreciated as I am guessing right now..
