I have a '66 Elko with front disc brakes from about a '70 Chevelle. I need to get wheel codes for plain steel 14" wheels that will clear the calipers. Can anyone out there help me on this. All posts will be greatly appreciated. Thanks

I can try and look at the ones I took off of mine that fit. I have 14" and single piston discs.
They looked like this.

Hollander 956 (used to be Hollander 813, but they changed it). Can be stamped any of these codes, but there are minor visual differences in wheel construction, but they all will fit. These are ordinary steel wheels, not Rally Wheels.

Stamped codes are; CL, EM, IF, UC, XG, XT. These are 14 X 7, but there may also be 14 X 6's that will also fit, but don't have those codes.

Pretty much any 14" wheel from 1970 on up will clear the stock calipers. Late-70s Novas and camaros, 78-88 G-body wheels, 80s 2wd S10, etc, etc.

They stopped making the "drum brake only" style wheels in the 60s. I've used '70 Nova 14x5 wheels with no issues, and the above mentioned G-body 14x6 wheels are readily available and work fine (they are 3.5" back space, if I recall correctly).

You will also need to look at the wheel bolt pattern spacing - its not just a caliper clearance problem. I think you will need to look for a "5 x 120.7 mm" bolt pattern. These wheels are now quite uncommon in the junk yards because it appears that GM stopped using this bolt pattern in 1988. A 2007 Jeep Grand Cherokee might have this bolt pattern. Measure carefully before buying.

I have learned a lot about this over the last few weeks trying to find a replacement for my original El Camino 14 inch wheels. With my completion of a Right Stuff front disk brake upgrade last weekend, I need at least a 15 inch front wheel to clear my new disk brake calipers. And being the cheap tight wad that I am, I don't want to spend the money yet for the new Torque Thrust wheels that I will eventually ride on.

Dead thread, yes, but have a request for '68 A body rims, on another site, and would like to find a chart that lists the 14 x 6 two letter codes and what they came from and whether they will clear factory discs. Most charts seem to focus on the rally wheels.
S-10 trucks maintained the 5 x 4 3/4 bolt pattern through end of production, in early 00's to best of belief. The Camaro / Firebird also used it through '92, am not a fourth gen F expert, am guessing the '93 to '02 F cars used a Metric bolt pattern.

If you just want stockish sized steel wheels, S10-S15 Jimmy/Blazer wheels are a dime a dozen.
