I have a '68 with a floor shift, but the car originally came with a column shift.
I want to get rid of the shift selector in the dash. Is there some sort of "delete" plate that I can get to fit in there to cover it?
Or, do I need a gauge cluster from a floor shift car that does not have the gear selector display?

If you pull the dash out, I'll bet the indicator part just unbolts to leave the area blank. Depending on the car, the letters may be painted on the speedo face. In that case, you will need a different speedo face.
