I'd like to see a hood with louvers myself. Someone on here showed a pic of a modified '65 hood with '66 louvers. Looked nice from what I remembered.

Yes, I liked the humps hood feature on a '68 too. That would look nice on a '64/'65. I'd buy one of those or one with louvers and then paint to match.
Then I would keep the hood closed at car shows and cruise nights.

as long as its not made in China
Oddly; because China is an emerging country, the nicest highways and the most state-of-the-art manufacturing equipment is there.

Our parts are made in Taiwan, ROC....and have been for years. Most classic sheetmetal parts you buy are made by the same few manufacturers there REGARDLESS of what "Brand" box they're in.

I'd be interested in one, but I can't honestly say I'd buy one, due to shipping costs involved. Now, if you could have them pull in and drop one off to me on their way to the mainland, that'd work for me. :D

Jon, can you do some CAD renderings or PhotoShopping to give folks an idea of what you had in mind?
I can't...if I could I'd never leave my house...LOL BUT; I do have a guy from HOK that does the artwork for me- he's a bit behind but I get some ideas to him and see what he comes up with.

you're in Falmouth? How was the clam festival this year?

Yeah, maybe some artwork for cowl and louver and anything else that comes to mind that doesn't have a silver spear going down the middle. Not that the spear doesn't look good, but it would be nice to have a sporty option for '64/'65.

The clam festival was another success this year. I usually go to the parade, but had to work instead. If you don't get there early, all you see if the hind ends of the folks who did. :) Wonder what the 'Clam Queen' looked like this year?

I drove up for the Oxford 250 (Same weekend) and accidently tried to get to Freeport through Falmouth on Saturday.....

I'd definitely be interested in a 64 steel cowl hood, with some provisions. It would have to be done in such a manner that it appeared factory. Even the underside. I've had a guy working on one for me now off and on for about 7 years (long story) He's combining the steel cowl from a 69 Camaro to my stock hood. It will be functional as intended. It will be decent when finished but still have pieces from 2 different cars never meant to be put together.

What I'd really like to see is someone cranking out the 70-72 hood with the corvette hood scoop on it that was used on some of the COPO chevelles.
