I have a 70 chevelle nad I bought it last year. It came with ladder bars on the rear and no front sway bar. Does anyone know how the car would drive on the street if I installed a front sway bar with ladder bars on the rear.

Thanks Gary

I would run wih the 1 1/4" sway bar. The orginials were only 1 1/8" inch (poor handling). The 1/8 inch make a lot of difference in handling. Without a sway bar up front you will roll your car if you make a hard turn of avoid something.

i think with the ladder bar setup in the back, putting a stiff front bar on it will probably make for a really scary ride. especially if you think that a sway bar is gonna make it handle like a Corvette when mated with the drag springs and shocks that are probably also in there.
i don't think there is any way to make a car with ladder bars handle- but i might be wrong.
driving without a front bar isn't too bad- millions of cars were built without them back in the day, and most of them managed to get around alright.
