Hello Fellas,
I dropped the 468 into the Monte this weekend. I have a few problems with Flowtech headers(part #11130)fitting.
On the pass side there is a clearance problem with the lower rear control arm mount. Would I be alright grinding the mount down to make the header clear? How much would grinding hurt the structural integrity of the mount? I was think that if I really had to grind it down I could arc weld some additional braces.
On the driver side the header comes close to the brake lines (about 5/8 inch). I am using DOT 5 which has a heat rating of 500f. Do I have to worry about relocating the lines if I am using DOT 5. Instead of relocating the lines could I just use the heat reflective brake line wrap?
Thanks,
Kris
