Well after three hours of screwing around with my dash lights I finaly got them to work. I replaced the first series socket with another from the local wrecking yard and spliced it in. I decided to clean ALL the sockets with a micro-file. I cleaned EVERY surface that would come into contact with the circuit board, with every peanut bulb and inside the contacts of each socket. I also took the plastic circuit board thingy off and used my dremel tool at its lowest RPM to ever-so-lightly clean up/rough up the surfaces that come into contact with the socket prongs. I took my time and although 3 hours later my back is pretty sore, I finally got the dash lights to work. I am going to be replacing them with some blue LED peanut-type bulbs to give my dash a nice blue glow to go with my other blue gauges. It saved myself a pile of money by cleaning up what I already have instead of buying aftermarket crap that probably wouldnt work anyhow.
