This one is in sunny Jacksonville, FL. I have relatives in JAX that Email me everyday gloating of their 70-80 degree temps!

Anyway, check out this nice Fathom Green '69 SS.

I have an issue with that incorrect P/S cap!

;)

IT WON'T BE CHEAP BUT THIS IS ALL THE CAR!
What does the seller mean by this? It appears they sell mostly newer cars.

Hey just slow down there Cowboy!! This town aint big enough for two Car Detectives!! :D

Seriously, that is a nice lookin car...as I have said many times before, I don't know nuttin bout these chevelles after 1967, not sure I ever rode in anything other 65, 66 and 67 chevelle

So that said, I would love to know more about what is maybe a modification or just not original about this car?? I realize he didn't say it was restored car or for that matter, doesn't have any verbage about it being matching numbers, unless I missed something...but all that aside...what would any of you guys see on this car which would raise an eyebrow ;)

Is that a Realistic price?

Me, I am just always impressed with the ORIGINAL WINDOW STICKERS,,,,the ones that don't look a day over ....well a day!! and never been afixed to a window  Must have been sealed away in dry storage eh

I like the color and stance!!

Man, talk about a "GEEKED OUT" Ebay page, drop all the smoke and mirror BS - PLEASE.

Well, with my 'dial up' it took ten minutes just to load the darn inside showroom picture, couldn't see any of the others. Sure is a nice color for 69.

EDIT - now that I see Mike's posting, I'll try to stay on that page and keep hitting my 'refresh' button to get pictures to load and maybe I can provide some comments.

I thought PTB markings were a quality control thing at Camaro plants.

Shifter and boot are incorrect. That boot actually is suppose to be under a 2 piece plastic slider.

Antenna base looks kinda FORD-ish to me.

And speaking of caps, the oil cap is a GM replacement type.

I really wish they would have provided more undercarriage pics instead of all of the back seat pictures.

I'm thinking that But it Now price is on the high side.

Who's gonna mention under-hood concerns? I'll bring cookies to Chevell'A-Bration for correct answers, if I'm able to get there.

This is one sharp car that would look great in my garage. Some nice options too - gauges, tilt comfortgrip, rear defog, etc.

OK Rick here you go - I like OREO's by the way.

- as previously mentioned, that PTB is from the Camaros.
- Oh those dreaded cowl grills.
- Air cleaner should be a closed type.
- Agree with the shifter boot.
- Alternator fan should not be gold.
- Battery cables.
- Oil dipstick color.
- Agree with oil filler cap.
ADDED - fuel line/lack of correct filter?????

I also did not see any reference to "original engine". From the pictures this appears to be a relatively high quality car and I do not think the "buy it now" price is out of line. I think the NADA high value reference of $44,725 for a L35 is "way too high".

I LIKE IT

Rick, did your relative tell you it was 32 degrees there last night.

Don, you could always sell the blue beast to Mike, his blue car has a hankerin for it anyway and purchase that car.

Whats with the M-22 on the window sticker? Never seen a 325 HP car with a M-22!Is it possible and or likely? All in all a nice car in a nice color..price is not un reasonable for a numbers matching car..if it is.

Sure, dander is temper or anger. Now, dandruff...that's for another forum :D

The scrolling banner does claim a "...396/325 matching numbers four speed..." Now, whether the 396/325 is matching or the four speed is matching is questionable.

Looks like it has Chambered exhaust. This thing does have some cool options that have been put together on it, but the sticker is SUCH BS........

Nice car, much nicer than mine.
The right quarter window needs new weatherstrip.
The flywheel cover is missing.
As is a valve stem cap :D

Would a '69 M22 have a drain plug? (I guess the M22 is rare if correct).
Did the factory put the temperature sender in the passenger head?

Wish it was in my garage....

that ORIGINAL WINDOW STICKER still gets my dander up

I was told (way back when) a blank window sticker form was fed into a printer of some type, then options and other info about the vehicle was printed on that form. Looks like someone very skillfully fed the crooked window sticker form into the printer so the printed info would skew and follow the crooked lines of the crooked window sticker.

I'd like it in my garage also.

Very nice 69.

The temp sender is on the wrong side of the engine. Looks like the correct connector is tied back, on the left side inner fender, with a blue jumper wire connected to the sender on the right head.

I know it's debatable, the master cylinder should be gloss black.

The front engine lift hook/eye is missing.

Bell housing should be natural with engine paint overspray.

MY .02 cents, basically agree with all. Decent car not over restored. As I browsed the pics I frowned at the window sticker and shifter boot too. The "PTB" definitly Camaro. Looks like this car has great potential needing some TLC. See a little over spray (orange) on the lower radiator hose but also like the glimpse of chambered exhaust. Asking price is not too far off but don't think it will do that well.

Not detailed for pics? Dirty carpet, dash is dusty and the seat belts are everywhere. :(

Like the shoulder harness seat belt clips on the console. Also like the correct gray on wheels. Although incorrect finish on master cylinder it is the correct one.

Rick,

I've been wondering why no one makes the second plastic piece for the slider. Had to make my own several years ago. Simple piece to make!

I like the natural finish too Don. Nice contrast under the hood with the phosphate hinges and latch...

Designer engine compartments! :D

I've wondered the same thing Brian. I thought about fabricating one from another reproduction slider plate.

no one noticed how terrible the interior door panel fit is? Looks like el cheapo (drivers side anyway) repro junk (heat pressed seams irregular)

are all air cleaners that pitted from rust?

how the heck can the console seat belt anchors get so rusty?

their disclaimer: "no visable rust"

gotta imagine all the hidden rust, yuck

(I guess AZ cars have spoiled me)

Amen, Don, amen.

You'd think with all that whiz-bang tech ability, they would have been able to post thumbnail pics instead of the "Pic #1" thru "Pic#60" links

Then you'd be able to pick and choose what you wanted to see more in detail rather than making blind guesses.

I don't know much about the 69 Chevelle... am partial to the 68, but here is what I noticed.

The forward two-place plug wire loom on passenger side valve cover is missing;
The heater fan wire does not appear to be routed correctly;
I cannot see any valve cover retainers;
Shouldn't the t-stat housing be painted on the low-horse 396?
The heater hose clamps on a 68 are of the Corbin variety. Are the tower type correct for the 69?
