Hello everyone. I have a 69 Chevelle Malibu that has been treated to a frame up restore. I took the original 307 out and put in a 454 BB however the distributor hits the Firewall by about an inch. ( i am using a Electric distributor ) The engine is as far forward as can be without the oil pan hitting the frame and their dose not seem to be much clearance or room to play with anywere around the engine. Is it normal to have to push back the firewall on these cars? I also only Have 3 of the 4 frame mounts atached due to not all 4 would aligin, however i have talked to a mechanic in our town and he said this would be okay to leave. Any insite on this would be much appreacheated. I just want my body back on my frame again and to get over this bump in the road.
