I have a 99 Saturn SC2 with auto trans and the twin cam engine. Yesterday my wife calls me at work and says it is "possessed". She was driving to work and was about three miles from the house when she noticed the speedometer drop to 0 and then register speed again. Shortly thereafter, the flashers, turn signal, and the engine light illuminated but then went back to normal. She said during this time, the motor seemed to run fine just hesitating momentarily. She took it a mom and pop shop and they checked the altenator and said it wasn't fully charging but not significantly off. Anyone have any suggestions or ideas? I don't think the shop where it is now will be able to do anything since they don't have any diagnostic equipment. Thanks inadavance for your help!!

Clearly its something common to all of those systems, I'd look for a loose connector at the ECM, or a bad ground, or a bad ECM. Something computer-related is where my money is.

You will have better luck posting your question in a Saturn Forum. My wife's car is a Saturn and I have had good responses from this site.
