Just brainstorming here...
Now that I have my timing locked out, I was trying to think of ways to avoid using a toggle switch to turn my ignition on after cranking the starter. Right now the starter barks back pretty hard when cranking.
The only thing I could think of (Other than buying an MSD setup and timing retard box
), was to use some kind of timer relay etc. inline for the 12 volt distributor wire. In theory, when you put power to one side of the relay,(turning the key forward and cranking) it could delay for a specific amount of seconds before letting power through to light up the distributor.
Does anyone know of something like this that exists? I'm tired, and hopefully I'm not missing something obvious!
