It sure is pretty! Big bucks though! To think that in California as part of the smog initiative they were decomissioning so called 'gross polluters' by filling cylinder bores with cement :clonk:

If that seller is asking that sort of money, maybe it's time to scrounge for vintage speed equipment. Hopefully not because it is still all about making an engine produce more horsepower with readilly available speed equipment. Still, Edelbrock can start producing the old stuff if they feel there is some demand, like the old small-block triple carb manifold. They could re-issue cross ram intakes if they wanted.

Where on earth did they find that hemi-head 302? Probably came out of Smokey Yunick's attic. Smokey knew what they were meant for, but collectors just see $$$$. It's kind of a shame, but if nothing else it helps to preserve some history.

I'm not an expert on the crossram deal, but my memory tells me the oil filler tube was '68 and older. '69 and up had no oil filler tubes on the manifold, normal stuff anyway. And why a '73 distributor? I don't know about anyone else, but I tried to "T" a PCV and power brake line once and it resulted in no power brakes. Hmmm.

I see he has another auction for a complete crossram setup and lists it as '68 and '69. I'm not an expert on that stuff so maybe it is right. Just seems funny to me.
