I am cleaning up the rear window channel and found the leading in the upper corners to be still intact and the track in fair condition with only one pin hole to weld up.

Now, both lower corners have a bit of brazing done for about a 1 1/2 to 2 inch section where the rear filler panel between the window and trunk attaches. Is this "factory" or has there been a repair done?

Another thing that looked a bit weird were two metal screws with bits of the original vinyl roof still under them. These were within about 1/2 inch of the brazed area and the vinyl did not appear charred.

Now, one more question....... is there anything that will take off the last bit of the window ribbon adhesive? Paint thinner, laquer thinner and acetone didn't work!

Thanks for all the responses! it is good to know that the track is original.

The screws with the vinyl roof under them really do look like they were put in from the factory. They could not be put where they are with the glass in place. There are also the same type philips head screws a bit behind the front windshield where they could not have been placed with the windshield in place.

So, to have been done later would mean both the windshield and rear window were out when a vinyl roof was placed on the car. It seems unlikely that would have occurred after the car was built........? The vinyl was dark green and looks the same as remnants found under trim pieces.
