ehhhhh, what did I do?
I did alittle burnout and immediately afterwards when coming to a stop my engine just about died. Missing all over the place. But when going again, it runs real smooth, has power.
Just seems to be running very eratic at idle and also a strong raw fuel smell.
Carb or distributor? My distributor is ancient. Has great parts, but hasn't been rebuilt since the '90's. Could something have gone wrong inside the distributor possibly.
I did change out all the rocker arms about 3 weeks ago and since then have readjusted them. I don't think that is the prob, but I'm not real sure.
It sounds like a big cammed engine....only thing is that it is a stock camshaft.
By the way....it is a 307 with a Perf/RPM intake, 600 vac sec. carb, headers, and an HEI ignition.
Hopefully, somebody has a suggestion, thanks.
To add on some more info; my air/fuel mixture screws when fully turned clockwise doesn't effect engine idle hardly at all. Before, the engine would try to die like I believe it is supposed to do. Vaccum issue?
