Finally, been able to drive my car a little harder. Weather here is in 40's to low 50's. I have been driving the car gently until the temp reaches 190. Oil pressure is good at 60 while driving. Then I jump on it a couple times about 3/4 of all out stomp the throttle. Even with heating up the drag radials on the street it still spins very easy. I assume this will be this way until I hit the track. Anyways, no pinging, car sounds great, reaches upper rpm's quick. However, when I shut the car off after a couple hard passes, the car diesels for just a couple seconds before shutting off.
Is my problem too low of octane? I am running 93 with stabil and mystery oil. The car starts right up with no problems. Thought maybe I have the air mixture screws set a little lean. They are 1.5 turns out.
Car drives like a bad out of hell and no other problems. Just don't want to melt two pistons again.
