I picked up another 327 from a garage at a old farm, the widow says her husband played with them but did not know what they came out off. I have decoded it most of the way but the HO on the engine vin throws me.
Block casting 3903352 - 67 Chevelle, Camaro, Full size Chevy
one source says 64-67 350-327-302
Block date code B97 - Feb 9 1967
T next to the block date code
Hour Clock is @ 11
Then there is a 7 cast into the block behind the passenger head
Across the block bolt hole is cast CONVEY
The heads are 3890462 Camel Hump - 302-327-350 64cc
Under the head cast number is A317
The clock is at 7
All the above fits together as a 1967 327 until it get to the engine vin:

Arlington didn't begin building Chevelles until 1970. In 1967, only full size passenger cars were built in Arlington. Colvin's book does show a suffx of HO for 67 Corvette, 327/300 PG but that doesn't jive with Arlington as 1967 Corvettes were only built in St. Louis, AFAIK and Corvette partial VIN stampings unusally only consisted of the sequence number and didn't include year/plant. The 67 passenger line does show a suffix code of HC for a 327/275 PG. Any chance that O might be a C?

It's odd to have the partial VIN stamped on a (dare I say) run-of-the-mill small block in 67. The partial VIN was normally done on big blocks and maybe high hp small blocks before being mandated on all engine blocks in 1968.
 
About 25 years ago I owned a 1967 Camaro with a 327 engine,4 speed and 4,11 gear. I could not figure out the engine cubic inch till I dissasembled it.The car had 327 emblems but when I tuned it up I used some 283 parts because they fit better then the 327 parts. plug wires,On the cowl tag there was a letter Z that was out of place.This engine had more power than any other 327 I have ever owned.When I took the engine apart I found a 3 inch stroke and a 4 inch bore,302.The engine was matching number to the car.You may want to check the stroke on that engine.I think mine was an HO also.The story on my car is that a woman bought the car new and was in the middle of an intersection turning when she was hit by another car in the rear quarter panel.As the car slid side ways in the back,she lost her mind and put the gas petal to the floor and spun about 8 donuts in the intersection.She had the car fixed at a dealership and when it was fixed she picked it up and drove it around the block and she was scared of the car so she brought it back to the dealership and traded it in on a new car.One of the guys in the body shop that worked on the car bought it and put it in his back yard hopeing to drag race it some day because it had so much power.After 5 years of sitting in his back yard I traded a 1966 Pontiac GTO even up for the car

Good morning, Dale your right, it is a C, you have to stand and look at it just right to see that the O is not complete, it's a C right on the edge of the pad, 5:30am, cup of coffee and a good flashlight and holding it all at the right angle and it's a C.
The intake is a 3905393 - 1967 327 275HP, and the cast date is B 1 7.
Another thing is that it has the small harmonic balancer on it.

I'll be happy to post a photo of the pad and the vin # but it's going to take a few days before I can get it done. Right now I do not have the means nor the know how of posting a photo on this site, but I will learn. I remember reading there are simple instructions, I will find them and hope to get a photo on soon
