Got to share some exciting car news with you all. My Father-in-law just picked up a ’70 Cuda 440 six-pack, original owner, only 24K mile, lime-green, automatic last week. He told me about this car about 6 months ago and I’ve been telling him to GET IT ever since. My fil also heard the car run 6 months ago, so it is complete. I have yet to see it, but requested pictures of car, vin, and tag. The BIG neg is, it got crunched at 24K miles REAL hard, in back, and needs extensive repair. It’s been stored inside a garage with a cover ever since the wreck with perfect interior and no rust. YAHOO, I’m excited.
I know it’s “his” car and he should do what he wants with it, but I’m hoping he keeps future resale in mind. He doesn’t like the color and may change it; he doesn’t like the wheels, and some other things. I’m just PUSHING hard to make sure he keeps all original parts and documents EVERYTHING with lots of pictures. It’s only original once. I even told him to photocopy and laminate the original title, I sure hope he listens. Regretfully he lives 3 hours away and it’s not too easy for me to help him out. I may be however storing it and helping him take care of the car once done.
Please let me know of any Mopar web sites to do some research. I know it won’t be as good as this site, and I won’t go over to the “other” side. Just trying to help him out.
Thanks,
MJ
(PS: I know everyone wants to know - $4000 – now what do you think???)
